Alpha Phi Omega's mission is to promote our core tenets of leadership, friendship, and service (LFS.) We hope to encourage our members and beyond to partake in community service and to help others in need through service; additionally, we want to foster strong bonds (and hopefully, lifelong friendships) between our members. Asian Student Association strives to promote the culture and unity of Asian students in efforts to raise multicultural awareness. With Asian students being one of the largest international student populations at Knox, ASA aims to promote the culture and unity of Asian students in efforts to raise multicultural awareness. Japanese Club, Korean Club, aaina, Vietnamese Club, Nepali Student Association, and Pakistani Student Association are all student groups that fall under the umbrella of the Asian Student Association (ASA). From our Annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration during Fall term to participating in International Food Fair hosted by I-Club during winter and Spring ASA Formal event, ASA aims to celebrate, share and embrace Asian culture all over Knox's diverse campus.

As a team we encourage student development in the realms of public speaking, research, and peer discussion/debate. Through debate, students engage with both sides of the argument/topic (pro/con, aff/neg); allowing students to do so enables them to think and interact with concepts outside of their comfort zone, this is what ensures our members as well rounded people and open minded thinkers. Model United Nations (MUN/Model UN) contains similar constructs that carry over to conflict resolution while maintaining your ‘character’s’ morals. In this way, MUN places students in roles they never would have thought to go into, like the prime minister of Chile or a religious official from Iran. While it may seem uncomfortable at first to portray a person with such staunchly different morals, it encourages a continuation of ongoing growth as both a person in society and a student.

Educational Studies Club aims to reframe the way Knox College students view the process of education to be. As a student led organization, we understand the pressure of the fast-paced academic culture here at Knox. However, we believe education to never be singularly relevant in a formal academic setting.

Knox College Educational Studies Club believes education to be a life-long process in which we engage with both in and out of the classroom. We seek to cultivate a community of humans with diverse academic interests who can share, enhance, learn, practice or teach new skills to peers at low stakes.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming space for any human to approach learning from a different perspective; to be more mindful with their approach, share and contribute their ideas, create strong relationships, connect with resources useful for being both a life-long student and college student and engage with the process of education without fear of failure.

Members of Knox College Educational Studies Club can benefit from engaging in activities related to building/learning/practicing new skills without high stakes. Members will be in an environment where either a peer can teach them how to practice a new skill of their desire (related to meeting or event theme) or can teach a peer how to practice said new skill. Knox College Educational Studies Club believes all students can thrive by learning a new skill (or idea) without the pressure to succeed but instead to view the process of learning as something that is an enjoyable experience and not something to be mastered.
