The Amott Science Commons & Makerspace Hub, located at the heart of the Umbeck Science Mathematics Center is an interdisciplinary collaboration space for faculty, staff, and students. Within the commons, the Makerspace Network Resource Desk is staffed daily and provides access and training to all of the resources in the Knox Makerspace Network. The Makerspace Hub has a variety of equipment to support rapid complex prototyping and design.

To support students interested in Pre-Health and conducting research projects.

Membership Benefits
The Vovis Center provides the Richter Memorial Grant to students to help fund their Research or Creative Work. Richter Grants can be used to fund academic year projects, Winter or Summer Break Research projects, and Winter or Summer Collaborative projects. The Vovis Center also offers the Knox Summer Scholars program eligible to all Sophomores and Juniors who meet the academic requirements and wish to conduct intensive individual research projects during the Summer Break.
